Warranty

5 year full, 10 year limited

1. SCOPE OF COVERAGE. This warranty applies to a new solar collector manufactured by Radco Products, Inc. under the trade name RADCO and installed in the United States of America. IT extends to the first retail buyer and to any subsequent owners of the collector or absorber plate.

2. FULL FIVE YEAR WARRANTY. RADCO PRODUCTS, INC. ("RADCO") warrants the collector to be free from defects in material and workmanship when installed in accordance with industry standards for a full five years from the date of original installation. If a defect occurs under normal use and service during the first through fifth years, RADCO will repair or at its option, replace the non-conforming component and/or part within a reasonable time without charge for parts, transportation or labor. If the collector contains a defect which cannot be repaired after a reasonable number of attempts to do so, the buyer may elect a refund of the collector price or a replacement without charge. A replacement may consist of a new or factory rebuilt component or part of a least the same quality. Replacements are warranted only for the unexpired term of the original warranty.

3. LIMITED TEN YEAR WARRANTY. In addition to the full five year warranty above, RADCO warrants the collector's absorber plate for an additional limited five years. If a defect becomes evident within the sixth through tenth years, RADCO will replace the absorber plate within a reasonable time upon payment by you, the buyer, of that portion of RADCO's suggested retail price for such components on the following schedule:

In the 6th through 10th years after the initial installation, RADCO will not be responsible for labor for removal or reinstallation nor for transportation to and from RADCO.

4. LIMITED FIVE YEAR WARRANTY AGAINST CORROSION. If a defect consists of corrosion of a collector's absorber plate or flow passages, and the defect becomes evident within the first two years of the warranty period, the costs of all parts and labor, including transportation to rectify the defect will be paid by RADCO. During the third through fifth years, RADCO will be responsible for the cost of all replacement parts (including, if necessary, a new collector or absorber plate) delivered to the original site of installation, but will not be responsible for the costs of labor for repair, removal or reinstallation of the collector or absorber plate.

5. SERVICE. To obtain service on the collector or absorber plate under warranties, notify RADCO of the nature of the defect, identification of the equipment and date of completion of installation. You may be required to furnish evidence of the date your installation was completed. Service will be provided by RADCO or one of its authorized service agents during normal business hours.

6. EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover defects of any kind resulting from faulty installation, exposure to harmful materials, fire, flood, lightning, hurricane, tornado, hailstorm, windstorm, earthquake, or other acts of God, vandalism, explosions, harmful chemicals, acetic or caustic fluids, fumes or vapors, operation of the collector under excessive pressure, misuse, abuse, negligence, accident or alteration, falling objects or any other cause beyond the control of RADCO. This warranty does not cover freeze damage to the collector and does not cover glass breakage.

7. LIMITATION. In the event of a defect, RADCO's liability is strictly limited to the furnishing of repair or replacement as provided herein. RADCO is not responsible for incidental property damage or personal injury, interim loss of the collector, inconvenience or other consequential cost or damage. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
